Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Interesting pictures! By the way Stalin can be a hero for many people but for many he is just a war criminal just like hitler. So no wonder people do not want to live in a city named by a mass murderer. Russian history is not just years 1941-1945.
I don't think Stalin is a hero to many people in Russia today, much like other communist leaders and leaders of present day Russia. Trotsy(Lev Bronstein) was a mass murderer so was Lenin, Kaganovich, Sverdlov, Yagoda and many others. Ilyia Ehrenburg even promoted killing and mass rape of Germans in his propaganda writings. G W Bush for that matter is also a mass murderer, but all that is a different story.
Very nice pictures Paul E. Keep them comming. Thanks a lot.
terrific fotos i hope to go to europe 1 day and visit the old battlefields- lest we forget all the brave soldiers and the sacrifices they made.
Thought i'd bump this old thread !!
