    Thanks guys.

Ewan, flying is nothing to worry about. I think it is a bit boring to be honest. I have done Parachuting plus a glider pilot's course as well.

The next pic shows the Moltke Bridge. This was the scene of heavy fighting as it lead to the Reichstag. Also shown is the area of ground which was once the site of what Russian troops called "Himmler's House". In reality this was the foriegn office building. Again heavily fought over.

The last pic shows a Trabant rally which just happened to be taking place while we were there. These old East German made cars were once a common sight in the old DDR.

Here we have the Soviet war memorial in the Tiergarten which can be found after passing through the Brandenburg Gate on the East / West axis going into what was actually the former West Berlin (British Sector). It was built in 1945, again using materials from the Reich Chancellry.

The T34/76 was reputedly the first one to reach Berlin. The Howitzer is an ML 20 152mm.

Concrete air defence bunkers opposite Humboldthain Park, where a Flak tower can also be seen.

After taking this pic we went on a guided underground tour. No pics were allowed. But please see this link to the tour we took:

The hand cranked air filtration system still works and I got to have a go with it.

These tours are great and I can recommend them.
