Ukrainian Armed forces museum

This is a Soviet era musuem dedicated to the second world war. As with all Soviet era musuems no expense was spared to tell the party line. It is a very good musuem matching the best in the east. While I was there Soviet era afghan veterans were having a get together. They meet often here.
The man I was with...Igor F.... was taken to Serbia to avoid Soviet military service by his mother. Serving the Soviets(Russians) was very undesirable for many.

Love the PAK but shame about the dodgy SS Lid !! Nice to see so many of the Russian dog tag papers actually filled in i hope they led to an id ?? In Kiev ?

looks like a great museum, however i just didnt liked the tunic displays.

Looks like a big museum.
The pic of those shrapnel slivers really brings home how lethal they must have been.
I wonder where the gorget and 'sunburst' decorations in the display case on top of the flag are from?
