Happy Victory Day!
One of my favorite and less known memorials is the "Alyosha" memorial in Murmansk.
Quite beautiful modern memorial statue named: "In the fight against fascism, we were together", situated in Victory Park, Moscow. Notice the pillar with soldiers inscriptions on them, this symbolizes the Soviet soldiers inscriptions that were done on the Reichstag.
Even if my country was on the "other side". I still like to remember and celebrate on Victory Day, as it is more of a memorial day for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. I will always respect both sides of the Soviet-Finnish Wars.
These monuments are heroic in themselves!
