    Default Wolfsschanze September 2010

Here are a few photos of the Berlin Bunker site and Wolfsschanze in what was former Rastenburg in September of 2010. If there is interest I will post more...the first photo is the Berlin Bunker site - comparison directly under it from 2010. Next, Hitler's escort with him arriving at the Wolfsschanze in WWII - same spot today or close to it... next, the Fuhrerbunker at Wolfsschanze, followed by the Situation Conference Building where the July 20th, 1944 Assassination attempt occurred, the period photo was taken right after the explosion... followed by the building ruins today, and last - 2 photos of the Goring Bunker... one can climb to the roof through a shaft to the Flak Positions and MG Bunkers.

I would love to visit these places but they are a long way from Australia. I am trying to convince my lovely wife that a trip to Europe would be fantastic, I am beginning to get some headway so fingers crossed I might get there in the next few years. Great photos, thanks again for sharing them.
