NKVD Visor Cap for Review

Hello, I've been looking at this NKVD visor cap for a few days now and would like some other peoples' opinions. The description of the item is; "M35 NKVD visor hat, circa end of 30's. Rare combination - the hat band is a crimson color instead of maroon. Similar hats has been often found in the northern part of USSR.. The hat is moth damaged. Star, chinstrap and buttons are not original to the hat and added by previous owner. Size 57-58. Has some museum markings and yellow producer stamp, but unclear." Thanks in advance.

Hello Tyler,

"Rare combination - the hat band is a crimson color instead of maroon." Looks like the opposite to me on my monitor.

"Similar hats has been often found in the northern part of USSR." What?

Moth damage is obvious as well as the postwar star-cockarde.

If you can procure any additional images in true colour, it would help us help you.
