Of course, they are not real militaria....But, if you would post photos such as these in an online selling site, they could look Very enticing to naive buyers....

Now I understood about what you speak. Yes, it is valid, it is real what to make 3D - model in all details and any expert won't be able to distinguish it from a real dagger. But it has to be 3D - the specialist who well understands in 3D - technologies and a weapon subject.
I do many various 3D - models of a military subject.
And I often receive letters when people write me letters, with a request to sell them this or that subject and I need time and further explanations that people would understand that it is 3D - model, instead of a real subject.
You are right, not honest people can use these technologies for deception on trading floors of the Internet.
I do 3D - works for pleasure and I use decorating - artistic design and an environment.
If to do a task - it is much simpler to represent the simple photo of a dagger and the result will be more realistic.

Hi Vlad..although we appreciate..the 3D dagger photos you have already posted....I would ask you to limit any other non edged weapon photos and place them in another forum for discussion. Your current thread will go off topic into medal and firearms collecting and the thread will end up being closed. Please keep the topic with in its parameters. Regards Larry

I apologize for forum violation of the rules.
    I didn't know it.
I ask to remove my post #22 and 23.
I tried to remove them independently, but couldn't - probably it is a priority of the moderator.
    Once again excuse.

These are fine where they are..but for future unrelated photos..... which should start a separate thread..in the appropriate forum.

It'd probably be easier to just use existing photos of real militaria rather than making 3D models. I'd suggest that anyone uploading photos of rare items add a 'watermark' to their photos to prevent theft.

VladRussianArms, your models are very good! Well done.

I agree they are the models of someone who is very skilled in 3D modeling. Fortunately 3D rendered images like these have a tell tale look to them and it will be a while before they can pass as actual real life photos. Great job Vlad!

I thank you for kind words.
To do 3D-modelli is my hobby. I served many years in special division of the Russian police on fight against terrorism. 3D is my hobby as a hobby and hearts. And I very much rejoice when my works are pleasant to my audience.
Watermarks are not a problem what to remove them from the photo. It is very simple task.
Besides, some auctions provide to viewing very qualitative photos in very big size. They use protection against copying, but it is very simple protection which any school student can bypass.
