A Prince Eugen variant if I'm not mistaken.
Unfortunate about the guard as I think finding one of these without the rest of the sword might prove difficult.
Have you contacted Johnson or Wittman about finding one?

Thanks Ralph. I watched e-bay for years without seeing anything then just forgot about it. Wouldnt know where else to look. Brian

I wouldn't consider it tampering with it. You would be restoring it. Tampering to me implies intent to deceive. It deserves a new guard. Probably somewhere is a sword with a trashed and broken blade and a guard looking for a home!

I think if I could find an original part I would replace it. I have heard of Wittman, I think they are in New Jersey? Cheers Brian
