I've sent you a PM about the SMLE Bayonets. A very nice gift indeed.

    Quite a haul!

...and the price was certainly nothing to sneeze at either!

    Congrats.

Just the funerals that are serving food afterwards,,and the ladies are always dressed nice

@ Krikke....Nice haul,, it does not get any better than that...with a price like that. Leave the SA scabbard alone,, do not remove anything. I am not sure if it is painted or an Oxidized Anodized scabbard....hard to see in the photos. Regards Larry

There could be a two digit date code on the spine of the K98 bayonet
near the crossguard, but Pete is correct - Mundlos.

With the scabbard repainted, the SA is an NSKK dagger now,
but I wouldn't attempt to redo it again.........

Thx for the information. But I don't understand why it has Imperial eagles if it is made in 1936...
Some makers used them into 1938,look here.......k98 bayonets data and registry

On the k98 bayonet the eagles are called "droop" wing eagles by most collectors. The early K98k rifles were stamped with them too.The later eagles are called "straight' wing or wehrmacht eagles. Very nice score on all items!

    Krikke you are a "geluksvogel"

    congratz!
the lower crossuard is indeed placed wrong, the Gau stamp should be on the back.
perhaps try some WD40, maybe the topscrew will come lose after a while, and it will not harm the wood at all, just wipe it off.
You can try to spray that scabbard with WD40 for a week in a row, 5x a day, so keep it realy wet.
I have removed rust on anodized scabbards this way, it would sometimes even bringback some of its original color!
If the scabbard wasnt cleaned very well before the paint job there's a chance the old paint will come of , and even some rust of the old scabbard, that will be an anodized one, its has all nickle fittings.
They tend to rust very easy under wet conditions ( barns etc.)

    Good luck there!

Use the small wrench that comes in a 'Dremel' kit.
It fits perfectly, if I remember correctly.........

    Thx for the advice Larry,

but I know it's repainted because the last owner did the repaint himself, so he told me.
