I have found this pair of daggers. The early Heer is made by AWJB (I think) which I have not been able to find. It has been de-nazified at some stage, but still looks to be a nice item. Scabbard is missing a hanger.

The second is an SA dagger by M7/13 Artur Schuttelhofer & co and is pretty poor, with stained, corroded & sharpened blade and chipped handle. Price for the pair is $400, which I think is pretty good. Any opinions? I was hinking about going for just the Heer and keeping it as is, unless a good crossguard came up. The SA is cheap enough, and replacement handles are out there for around $100.Dagger pairDagger pairDagger pairDagger pairDagger pairDagger pairDagger pairDagger pairDagger pairDagger pairDagger pairDagger pair

The maker of the army is "Anton Wingen Jr." One of my favorite makers.
IMHO, $400. is reasonable for these two. If you want to replace the cross guard, you will have to find one from the same maker or else it will always be a parts dagger. You will also have to find a matching scabbard band.
I would recommend waiting until you can find something nicer to add to your collection.

I am with Ade on this, it would be better putting the cash towards a dagger in better condition,
    cheers Ronnie

Im with Ade, dont buy them.

replacing the crossguard would make it a parts dagger.
The shape of both aint good, your money will be stuck in those 2 when you want to sell them for an upgrade.

    Cheers,
    Ger
