Is the Carbine an M1 or an M2 ?
Usually the M2's were supplied with a bayonet mount, updated rear sight and longer magazine.
They were also 'selective fire' meaning they were semi-auto or full auto.
The ID should be stamped on the receiver.....

the gun i added the 30 round mag as i picked them up it cam with a 15 round and its ww2 m1 with lug as its a little later war 44 i think its stamed on the barel .. i will look and see if i can see anything else.. i found a mp 44 but iam not going to touch it as of yet as its 5-10 in jail but i love it and its just sitting in a old ladys basement doing nothing...my add is working iam getting calls but money is tight...oh well my ship is almost here....i will post the mp44 when i grab it
