I have a question in my mind about this one. First is where is the scabbard? OK it might have got lost or is it missing for a reason?

Second question, the maker marks. The circle DEMAG DUISBURG should be have two stars with 6 rays. What we see here is a dot on both side. On the front ricasso the "gesetzlich geschutzt" is very lightly struck. Much lighter than usually seen on DEMAGs.

I also don't like the blade grinding at the point of the ricasso. Rather poorly aligned at the join.

So it could be a reproduction, these are a favorite of the reproducers, and I would be wary based on reasons mentioned.
