I do think it is possible that its an image of empress auguste victoria wife of Kaiser Wilhelm but it's just a guess? The timeframe matches up.

Private William "Bill" Kell was a WWII US Army Veteran, 19 years old when he landed on Omaha Beach...After the war, he joined the Merchant Marine...Originally from Massachusetts, he spent his retirement in Sunapee, New Hampshire until his passing in 1992...Reading the Headstone, I can't help but think that he must have been quite the Maverick in his day...Rest in Peace...
By the way, the Dagger was sent to me from New Hampshire - The local Obituaries were very helpful in locating his Grave...
    cheers, Glenn
