Hello, as Merrydoc has stated not even close to original.. notice the differences, I see a few of these a couple of times a year on the RAD Forum I belong to, use the search engine for additional research. Good luck .. G

Terrible copy. Not even close to an original.

Regarding maker, in pic #3 it is trying to be a Boker - Solingen. But not an original as others have already pointed out. And in this condition it would not be a good investment even if an original.

Weller, good point, yes it is trying to be a Boker, on the few instances I have seen both were Boker and artificially distressed / aged. Here are two of the fakes, one was in Germany and the other is the U.S. These are currently for sale in the U.K. and the U.S.

It’s certainly a very poor copy... I’ve attached my original for comparison.

29 pounds for the copy, at least they don't charge so much for them. Here are a few more pics of an original example.

    Hi Billy

define the term "invest" as these well known repro's are sold for little cash

Even when you would buy an Original in this weak condition it still would be a very cheap one.
RAD hewers are plenty out there and for reasonable prices.
First learn to recognize an Original before spending any cash.

use the search engine on the top right.
Simple use the term: RAD hewer
Then you will see there is a lot of reference material to study……

    Regards
    Ger
