Hello Steve. The missing screw you mentioned is from here?
No, not on the frog stud, although Ade mentioned that a hole there is odd,
and I agree, it's missing from the side of the scabbard. Called a retaining
or spring screw, it fastens the springs inside the scabbard. The springs
themselves hold the bayonet tight in the scabbard.
