    Lads I picked this up today , I believe it's a ww1 german bayonet it's stamped both sides , solligen on one and Erfurt on the other the diligent stamp is hard to see in the picture but it's there with other words and a prism/pyramid logo.
    Paid 50€ for it , what model is it and if it's real how much is it worth if anything!it originated in Italy and was recovered from the alps ,, apparently !

    98/05 "butcher" bayonet and it certainly looks real to me, the blade is fairly rough so i'd pay 50 euros max!...

    Cheers lads, any idea why it would of been up the alps? Did they have troops up there in ww1!?

    Cheers lads, there's more markings on it but very hard to read them a "4" and another stamp !

    I thought that myself when I seen the stamp/marks on the blade top reibert!
    Jasus maybe I'm learning something after all !

    Hi, your bayonet is very nice and certainly saw a lot of action. I also post some of my Mauser 1898/05 bayonets to compare, they are not in best condition but comes direct from my town, near which German forces fight during World War I. Bayonet in the middle has removed saw, and it is visible.

    €50 is ok I think for it is it?
