This is a normal and fairly modern hunting knife. No connection to the military or the 3rd Reich.

No , it has the marking of Emil Voos on it, check my other post on identifying a makers name
Of course it's Emil Voos....but it does not have anything to do with the 3rd Reich or the Military, is all.. Voos did, indeed, make 3rd Reich daggers, but many other things as well, such as razor blades, etc. After WWII, they exported many hunting knives to the US and elsewhere, and I suspect that this is one of them, as shown by the "Made in Germany" stamp on the sheath.

I agree with Wagriff,, as being post war. Many blade makers including Emil Voos,, were making knives cutlery etc,, just trying to jump start their war torn economy buy making and selling what ever they could. No doubt though Emil Voos made a quality product. Your knife is still a nice example. Larry
