    Default Land Customs Dagger

Hello guys ive just picked this up at the weekend maker is Clemen & Jung who seemed to be up ther on the producers of this dagger even they are not a biggest of dagger producers, the blade has an number2 stamped into the tang and the crossguard is also stamped with the same number it has a thin gripwire which i hear is one of their trates on a customs dagger the knot was on there but obviously added, note the lines dont follow all the way around on the scabbard which is correct. (its now known some makers carried them all away around)

Sorry about the flash on the pics

    cheers for looking, Ronnie

PS the thumb print has now been wiped off the blade

A fairly uncommon piece to see and complete with hangers and knot as well! Looks to be a fine addition to the collection! Well found indeed!

Thanks Larry as you know many collectors worry (like me) when buying one of these, there is not much information about collecting this type,
    Thanks again for the comments

Customs, a field I like pretty much. Here two photos with the
wearing of the dagger, hanger and knot. One photo is cropped,
heads off, while it is under embargo for a new book by me to be
published. The head shows the wearing of a field-cap by a
    customs general rank.

And yes, there is information about the dagger in the customs
regulations and in some cataloques. But not that much in detail!

Thankyou Wilhelm..regardless of detail..the contribution is valuable for the collector. Regards Larry

The importance is the wearing which is ever so rare to be seen
