I have a timeline for Daniel Peres Co. with an American connection in 1900..so to give some credence to the English word "Germany"..there may be a possibility.

1792 : Established
1801 : Daniel Peres ,, artisan without privilege,, was granted the right to use his imported English Polish for scissors. shears,and surgical instruments..but not swords and cutlery
1895 : Business mfg. and sales of iron ,steel and brass wares. Tools for cabinetmakers, carpenters, lock smiths, shoe makers, saddlers, Edged weapons, straight razors, pen and pocket knives.
1900 : American Agent : Magnetic Cutlery Co. 1013 Arch st. Philadelphia Pa. Owner Otto Maussner..sole agent for Daniel Peres Barrel Brand Cutlery.
( side note: I took a ride to 1013 Arch St..which is about 15mins driving..where the building used to be is now a small parking lot between 2 buildings in the Chinatown section )
1926 : Gold Medal Philadelphia ( unsure of this entity..or what they produced )
1934 : sales trademark "barrel brand" was used on Early SA, NSKK, and HJ knives. No RZM permit was ever acquired.
1937 :Friedrich Str. Solingen. until present Daniel Peres exported his goods as of the 1937 date sold their products to the home market. 2 sales reps were hired from the Schweina Thuringia area.
1967 : celebrated 175th anniversary
2002 : until present location

So..I always enjoy a good challenge..and will admit only the fact that this company had business dealings with an American company here in Philadelphia..which will support only the English word "Germany"...and may lean a little into the possibility..that Daniel Peres..may have exported these "sword miniatures" to the United States. Yet still there is no proof of this..but..there is a possibility. Great thread Gents!! Regards Larry

Nice info Larry.
They were very popular with naval officers who also used them on a watch chain & fob or on their desks.
The naval ones have a similar type watch clip for attachment.
Here a few examples what i mean with watchchain fob:
Now i need to find one with a dagger used as fob, medals and awards are easy

A very interesting thread. These were part of a collection I bought several years ago. Most of these were very well made. Some had knots. One had a felt washer. If I remember correctly one of the US model swords has Solengen on the blade. They are all gone now except the Luftwaffe.

Some actually sell for a fair bit of money.
