    Default LW & Heeres Dagger

I recently bought a SA dagger and the seller also has these 2 for sale.
The Hörster has the type2 crossguard, silverplated zinc alloy base.
The dagger is in a uncleaned condition, and has a great blade.
Grip shows some colour loss at the back by wear (cloth rubbing)
The LW misses 1 gripwire and a scabbard screw.
Blade isnt as good as the Hörster, but overall it looks good.
Tell me what you think about these 2 baby's

Not much to more to say, you have got it covered. Both original daggers.

The grip wire would be easy to replace. The only comment would be about the Luftwaffe pommel as this looks like a replacement as the patina does not match.

    Cheers, Ade.

Thx Ade, so you see i learned a lot from your analyses
i hope its just the picture quality that has a bit to much highlite.
If i have it in my hand i will compare it closely! it seems to be a lighter colour then the rest, perhaps a bad cleaning action?

Is the gripwire an item that can be obtained easily?

    Hi Ade,

LW dagger was as you expected: replaced Pommel, it wasnt even an original, blade has been polished lately, so it wasnt desirable anymore.
It was cheap enough, but after replacing the gripwire and the pommel it would still be a budget one., i passed it.
I did buy the army dagger:
almost a perfect blade, beautiful cross grain, nice dark maker etching.
    I love the grip.....
