Really?!? Any ideas what I can do with it?? Is there a market for this???
It will fit on the German K98 rifle and was often used by them,IMO it`s worth about $75 in that condition...Pete

I'm in agreement with it being a Czech Vz24. But from the look of it, and the frog stud markings, I think that it may have been an export model to some place like Romania. A co-belligerent of Germany during WW II Romania received large numbers of Czech weapons. I also think that it may have something like a "CSZ" or maybe a "Circle/Z" on the flat of the blade next to the crossguard. Here is the (same) Czech Army issue bayonet which has the Czech Lion/date on the frog stud and (handle) spine between the grip plates. Showing the polished steel pommel and gray phosphate finished crossguard typical of these bayonets. PS: Sorry for the small image from an old photo shoot. FP
My brother used to keep a bayonet in a chest of drawers with his t-shirts.........

Steve.
Mine has tgf on the scabbard frog piece then E3 the lion motif and 48, the same on the handle metal between the wooden grips and tgf on the head of the pommel by the bayonet lug, i take it that this is a czech model of the same as posted am i correct
Yes, it's the same bayonet with the "48" representing 1948, and I forgot to mention the "E" marking. Regards, FP
