    Hi Ronnie,
    Thanks!
They go for a lot more than I am willing to spend on them.
    German Dagger Miniatures
It depends on where you aquire them, dealer or militaria show. I have picked up a few on e-bay, but I am a patient person. I know which ones I want and am willing to wait until I find one at the right price.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought there was a distinct difference between the letter openers and miniature salesmen daggers, there seems to be some confusion, the salesmen daggers were produced simply as a selling aide, with literally all details replicated as on the full sized versions, the letter openers lacked these details

Dave the minatures (salesmen) where originally meant to be used as "letter openers" and some used to have company logos and advertising messages and served as company gift's to customers, but there are also very different quality's ranging from cheap handout's (like mine above ) to very expensive exact copies.
There are also three different sizes "half size" 8in (very common) also 3/4 size 10in and full size which were called "semi official" (very rare)which basically full size parts and where commissioned by family's etc for presentation's and the like's'
hope this helps mate, cheers Ronnie

The 'better quality' pieces are rather expensive, but I would not pay
anywhere near $3,500 for any mini.........!
