This is the typical NPEA Leader's Dagger by Burgsmuller. I appreciate Ada giving this gentleman the head's up on me and my book: "Waffenleite Presenting NPEA Daggers of the Third Reich" which is available at a discount to members of this forum.
The dagger is a nice representative piece and, while it is not school identified, the veteran remembers where he picked up this dagger and I may be able to identify the school from the location of the dagger.
I will keep you all posted.

There is another very interesting book, which covers NPEA and HJ daggers,
written by my friend Ralf Siegert:
Die Dienstdolche und Blankwaffen der NPEA und der Hitlerjugend.

    NPEA officer's dagger?

This oblong book is a heavy monster with 552 pages, text in German,
most photos in color. Many b/w photos of daggers in wear!

Well if this dagger is an Original Chained NPEA you will know by now that prices are very high.
Pricing will be depending on condition 5500-7500 dollars, but that will be the Retail Seller price.

    Regards,
    Ger
