    Hi Didier the most I can say is that this belonged to a sword,, but what kind of sword or what Branch, I am not sure of. The zig zag colors meant something as to what branch of service it belonged to. The sword guys will be along shortly. Larry

    how recognize sword and bayonet portepees ?
