    Like it. Have not bought much at all from dealers in my years but from what I have heard Paul at Lakesider Trader is one of the better ones out there. Good patina on fittings and I would say overall no issues from the pics that I can see. Good luck! I have one of these and it is a must have beast for your collection.

    thank you Rossi, would you know the overall length and width of the hewer? Top to tip with scabbard.

    Visor - as Rossi says, a beast of a blade indeed. Length in scabbard = 15.75 inches. Length out of scabbard = 15 inches. You'll love it

    Agreed-a fine decent Wusthof Hewer with no visible problems that I can see! Looks like a winner, I would say! Now...the Tough part-finding a Hanger for him!

    Thank you Weller, I needed to know if it would fit in a shadow box that is 12 x 14.
    The em drk hewer I just mounted seems to be the same length.....so fingers crossed, should fit nice and snug (on a diagonal).

    I know of 2 that almost cost the same as the hewer.
