    Default RAD Enlisted Hewer Engraved

Here is the 2nd knife that I aquired from my Vet neighbors basement. As with the first knife (SA Mertins post) this sat in a basement for 40 to 50 years untouched until it saw the light of day when the gentleman passed away.

Appears to be in good shape with no rust or finger prints. Some scratched paint, minor pitting on handle and minor wear

It is engraved with the RAD owners initials. (KM or MK)

By the size of the Eichorn maker logo, is this a very early (early 30's?) manufacture. I can not be sure.

    ANY feedback would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Michael

I would have to admit, my favorite knife of all time is the RAD Hewer, it so beautiful. Nice find, make sure it gets a good display.

    Thanks Larry,

You should have seen my eyes POP when I saw this coming through my front door.....thought I was dreaming.....Apparently there was some "German paper work" as well with this find. Been trying to get a look see on it for a year or so now...hopefully this summer.

Have another "almost freebie" that I picked up a few years ago...a minty Herman Goering Division visor and G33 rifle. Paid for the rifle and the visor was tacked on as I was not sure it was legit but I'm pretty sure it is after showing to a few dealers who really wanted to buy it. Can post it if you like....
