    Yes it looks like a good original. They get lonely without a scabbard I hear!!!

    I like it, but as has been said, poor thing needs a scabbard!

    I agree, it is a shame that the scabbard is missing, I will ask the person I bought off, he had a lot of stuff and all the things were mixed up in a big "pile", so I will see.

    I've known that the only maker to use these numbers on the blade was Carl Julius Krebs. However, I read the other day that the numbers were not inventory numbers but the month & year of manufacture. Based on this, I suspect the number is 1237 for December, 1937.

    Great Hewer , One of my first I had for a while when I was just a kid, till the other kids dad found out he traded it to me. LOL
