Whats also very nice to see is the patina in the stamped G. on the guard.
There is no doubt this is a period personalisation.
I have seen so many added names and abbr. that im getting somewhat tired of all these features.
Stupid for example seeing a plated alu army pommel with nice black patina and then seeing 2 letters in full fresh alu colour.....
Yours is just great!

Thanks Gerrit ... that's a good point to look out for.
I do tend to stay away from Dedication on Blades or Personalised Initials on Daggers ... Like you said there's so many that's been messed with.

I find it impressive that there is no lifting of the silvering on the fittings and still shows a few bumps of age or original carry wear.
The detail and patina is all there and appears to be unmessed with and also echo the comments of Gerrit..Anderson and Gman
