I would say that dates from the First World War era and is an officer's private purchase bayonet based on the kS98 - the saw blade is probably original to the bayonet.
Walter & Co (founded 1894) were a bicycle manufacturer who also made edged weapons during WW1 including some interesting and rare S84-98 as well as S98-05.
The trademark shown on the blade is the same as found on the WW1 bayonets.
Not entirely sure if they made bayonets etc after WW1 - they didn't make issue bayonets in the TR period nor as far as I am aware make daggers either.
I know they made motorcycles and the company still exists making auto parts.

As Richie stated, the bayonet appears to be a WW I era KS 98. It was made by multiple makers, and is seen with both smooth wood or checkered grips, and either rivets or screw bolts/spanner nuts. With some of the sawtooth versions also coming from government factory sources.
That said, the frog and knot appear to be later (WW II era) additions. FP
Thanks - Guess it would classify on the "not often found" side???
