I also have their own base TENO numbers, but do not know why you told about the numbers on dagers TENO Leaders. These are completely different edged weapons with Idividualny especially drawing numbers on the blade and scabbard.......... .
Den, if I have understood you correctly I would be obliged to receive details of the frequency of the same number occurence on officer dagger and EM hewer. Your database must be much more extensive than mine and I would appreciate the information.
No problem regarding etched numbers to scabbard throats, but I am sure you will agree it is rarely seen.

Etched numbers used a very short period. As we can see, they were poorly visible and after a short time was returned to the standard method, the stamp. Unfortunately I can not say until now, clear boundaries of this method. The only thing I can say is that the use of numbers on the hewer and dagger do not match. Therefore etched numbers on the hewer will not exactly match the numbers etched on Leader dagger.

More closely examining the authors hewer's. I saw a strange feature. The hole at the mouth of the scabbard of unusual shape. Unfortunately for the photo is difficult to say why this is so.

I've never seen etched numbers on a TeNo scabbard throat, learned something new.

Billy, I've had one. I have seen these etched on blade and scabbard, and sometimes a mix.
Subject hewer is period original IMO. I agree with Den70.
