    Good evening all!

I really hope that you guys, and girls can help me out.

I want to buy a dagger, but because I don't have enough knowledge about this I could use some help.

It's a nice one, but can you tell me if this is the real thing?

    Thanks in advance!!

I agree with Glenn. The design is total fantasy. The quality of the metal work lacks the crisp detailing found in period daggers. This is even more evident when one considers this is supposedly a presentation piece from the Reichsjaegermeister.

    Welcome to the Forum Joyce!

Yep...Fake...Etching is poor compared to original TR pieces. Clamshell is poorly cast in my opinion. No patina or age being shown and if this was from 1937 it would show some aging. More like made in 1973 versus 1937. Green felt buffer reminds me of the 1970 Forestry Cutlass Knock offs . I would steer clear.

Clamshell has the looks of a Feldhernhalle upper grip eagle.
