I saw the uniform Winters wore for the Invasion at the "Dead Mans Corner" Museum in Normandy..funny how at TV series makes Heros of some while others are forgotten... I am not taking anything away for the Men portrayed in the Series...met one at the Airport in Paris last year and we talked..when I mentioned I had been a Medic with the Airbourne Regt in Canada, He said to me "God Bless you son" as he had been wounded 2 times and Medics had saved him...that went right to my heart!!
