Well come to Newcastle !!
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )
1st July 1916
Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
i went to the birmingham fair last week and loved it i go with my son he got a mp40 mag for £5 lucky so and so.
I got a ww2 aircraft boost instrument for £10 and a 1943 dated us navy flare pistol for £100, i also picked up a new book on german flare pistols for £90.
And it was a lot more fun than shopping on the net.
its shame that the organisers of malvern and birmingham cant be bothered to sort out the dates so they dont clash. All this does is force dealers and colectors to choose which fair to attend then they moan about falling atendence (no brains)
regards
Andy
