In my opinion that paint is not original. The color is not right and the interior ink stamps have been painted over. That makes the star not original as well. On every example of these post-war refurbishments I’ve handled (I’ve owned three and seen several others) the Russians have unfortunately done an excellent job of removing the original ssh39 ink stamps underneath the repaint.
