Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam!
I don't know an enormous amount about Soviet helmets, so it would be instructive for me if you told us why you had any doubts it might not be genuine. It certainly looked AOK to me!
thank you very much for the help guys. I think greg that something is going wrong with the chin straps . Also i think that the helmet is in a excellent contition considering its age
I am grateful for your help and your time Richie . You are 100% sure that's a original soviet helmet of 1953. Right??? For your better information there is a star engraved inside on the front part.
100% original. You need have no concerns there.
Cheers, Ade.

thanks a lot adrian . Glad to be in the forum
OK. I would have certainly thought the chinstraps were fine. A while back I might have thought twice about the brown liner, but since then I have been told that is normal for some production runs of the ssh40. I had been under the foolish impression that only (empty) shells exported to Romania had brown liners fitted in the recieving country. Of course Romanian helmets would not have all the the obvious Russian stamps. Oh, and people think helmet collecting is all so simple...
...and for the end , is this a rare soviet helmet????
Not rare. But these are nice to have.
Cheers, Ade.
