My first russian helmet! ssh 36
Howdy! I just won this helmet on ebay yesterday. Ever since I saw it a couple years ago, i've always thought the design of this helmet was one of the most cool looking, next to the german m35, 40 and 42.
Got an awesome deal too! won it for 182.50 USD!It was listed under "VINTAGE MILITARY HELMET UNKNOWN YEAR" surely if it were listed under "russian helmet" more people probably would have bid on it.

Nice helmet! I always thought the SSH-36 was a nice looking helmet, although my favorite is still German helmets. Certainly a nice deal on it.

The spaniards didn't repaint it though did they? would you say that is the original paint?

it's arrived! it's finally here!!!I was suprised how light of a helmet this was, this helmet was definitely repainted wasn't it?
<--I think i'll throw it on this Ushanka, I know it's from the 80's or 90's or something but it sure does look cool.
