very nice helmets. Any additional info about the leather strap? Is it a Russian WO2 period replacement you think?

I presume it's wartime one way or the other.. I'll try to post a picture of the buckle and maybe someone can say if it's a Russian strap for something else, German or otherwise.

Really only very erly SSch 39 was seen with white leather chinstraps. And also "Blockadnics"- ssch 36/39 re -issued and ssch 39 which made in blockaded Leningrad has a leather chinstraps
