    Hello,

    Could someone tell me what was the model of the visor cap worn by the officers of the Soviet cavalry during the years 1943-45? Is it the Model (pattern) 1936?
    Photos and description are welcome.

    Hello,
    During the ww2, soviets used two types of visor caps: M35 and combat cap (Fully kaki).
    The model for cavalry troop is kaki with dark blue band and black piping. First models had black buttons.
    Two examples :

    So, your photos represent the two variants of the M35 cavalry visor cap?

    Along with the button colour, I would add that the material that the crown is made from can vary a lot (including wool).

    You can also encounter round visors (vs square).

    Strictly speaking there was probably one authorised pattern (M35) and tens of different interpretations.
