Can anyone tell me what sort of visor this is? Never seen one like it. The star is made of brass and are very thin.

It is an artificially aged reproduction (the "crush", no wear & staining on the inside and the distressed visor edge are the giveaways) of an Imperial Russian field cap. The cockarde is the type used during the 1920s on misc. Soviet soft headgear. I can't tell by the images if it is authentic or not.
