    Hello gentlemen.
I've been asked about which branch of service the following peaked cap belongs to, but wasn't up to the task.

The cap itself is undated and might be post-1991, the badge is obviously the post-1991 MVD type, and it looks like a general rank service cap. The owner hasn't spared any more pictures, but after some further questioning told me that the buttons are bearing the russian coat of arms.
Any information about this object will be greatly appreciated.

The closest I could find would be a general of the Customs service. Генерал Таможенной Службы.

Thank you very much, it obviously looks very similar.
Maybe the cockade was the one used by the Customs Service at the time of the Commonwealth of Independant States or has been replaced for unknown reasons.
