Question about helmets

This is my first post, and it's a question. I noticed in a previous post, about russian naval commandos, that one of the soldiers is wearing a helmet that's painted red. Can anyone tell me something about these red painted helmet's? Was they only for use on board ship's.

I have just recieved this Ssh 60. I got it very cheap, because it has been damaged by fire. The damaged liner has been removed by a previous owner.

I am a complete novice, when it comes to soviet helmet's. I would really appreciate any comment's on my new helmet, and who might have used red painted helmet's. The only information I have about the helmet, is that it was originally purchased in Murmansk.
