    2K. - means production quality grade, i.e. 2nd class.
    55 - size.
    The rest I cant see.

    P.S.: I had seen this item a few times although I was wondering what the purple band around the hat made this soldier belong to? I'm not good with Russian hats, sorry.

    The soldiers on the photo are not wearing a M1935 visor cap. The types with the short visor are from the 1920s. Even the commander is wearing a M1924, I guess. But hard to say (small photo & black/white)....
    "The purple band around the hat" is night blue, just bleached out with the time, symbolised the cavalry. Russians did not use the color purple for uniforms.

    It must be me being ignorant; they both looked te same at the time I had found the picture but I didn't notice the difference in visors!
