The star may have been added or changed it is not a problem, the fabric is in conformity and stamp of the Kharkov factory of headgear is absolutely authentic for me (Kharkov is invaded in October 41 and released in August 1943).

Faked a Pilotka dated 1940 to sell 150 euro makes no sense.
Besides a high price is not a guarantee of authenticity, there is that the piece to look out .

Original and nice star , normally you need a 24 mm one part

Stamps are more crisp than any American chip or cookie. ZERO wear and an M36 star? That green sewing thread?

i am suspicious of it for another reason. the middle section seems to be too tall and there are angles to the front and rear. should the front and rear just be vertical? judging from the side pictures posted,

Yes the one stamp are bad stamped , bud the color is exactly like the onother .

Cotton smells really old .

The difference between colors indicated for wear or Age .

That come with the flag and Photo albums from legacy of wehrmacht lieutenant wehrmacht 57 Infantry Division . I have no reason to be sceptikal the story , if yes the veteran bring fake cap from russia .

Now i find out the 57 ID was Engagements in the "First Battle of Kharkov" 1941 .
