What is surely faked is the star itself. The original one should be enameled and not made of alluminium. The one present there is a standars 60s alluminium star.
This is bulgarian air force cap from 1940s or 1950s. From september 1944 to november 1989 Bulgaria is a socialist country and bulgarian military uniforms are made under the soviet influence. This cap is probably used in the last stage of the war, when Bulgaria goes on the side of Soviet Union (after September 1944) or in the 1950s. Sorry for my bad english, I hope you understand me.
I would disagree. The hat is Soviet, but probably postwar, 1948q as was already stated. Indeed Bulgaria copied the Soviet style, but that was after 1947, no caps of that style were used in the last stages of the war.
