I have never seen these camo cloth covers on Soviet helmets before. can anyone tell me what pattern camouflage was used at this time?
pattern Omeoba. 4 parts of cloth - german like. Its mostly used in Khasan lake conflict.
Yes I think I can see the pattern in the other pictures. I have only seen the Omeoba pattern used in snipers overalls before today.
Its not for snipers only. Scouts, paratroopers, sapers.
Here some old pictures from a good friends collection of a mannequin (already asked some questions regarding the camouflage tunic on another forum which concluded that its probably post war) with a camouflaged Russian helmet, only original one I personally ever handled, enjoy.
its not a WW2 helmet. In RKKA not usual to paint helmets in camo. Only white in winter. Jacket its not RKKA.. d ya have a bigger pics of it?
Today i saw the omeoba pattern on plasch-palatka's which was a surprise.
Thats an interesting pattern on the mannequin Pier, the figure is representing a partisan by the look of him and his MP40.
thanks for the feedback!
