It was on the Trident site Soviet world war 2 field gear,boots,belts,ammunition pouches,grenade pouches

its not a WW2 helmet. In RKKA not usual to paint helmets in camo. Only white in winter. Jacket its not RKKA.. d ya have a bigger pics of it?

Not usual doesn’t mean it wasn’t done, it’s a authentic WWII Russian helmet, like mentioned, these are old pictures from this friend of mine his collection, he used to live 12 miles from where I live but unfortunately moved to Germany recently.

Thanks for your input and effort but unfortunately your comparison doesn’t even come close, even for me, as uninitiated one in this matter, its obvious that both shells have a totally different shape, take a good look and try again.

Without making some sort of riddle of the question, what is this besides a question mark?, go and pleas study both helmets/pictures. Also not unimportant is the fact if you ever handled these helmets in person and examined and compared the liners of both?, I think the answer to that question ends this discussion.

i have in my colection сш-36 (2or3 ) СШ-39 (3) СШ-40 (one) and сш-68 (one)
so i think thats tells about something.. Not one of them dont have a this strange liner mount (i dont know how it in English) like on pic.

Like mentioned two times before, these are old pictures from a collection of a friend of mine, unfortunately no other/bigger pictures. It doesn’t matter how much helmets you have but if you ever handled the helmet, of which you, based on one picture, ventilate your personal opinion, in person?. But no problem, I let the “experts” decide, because I have no “dog in this fight”, its just a helmet I know which I thought would be interesting to see, nothing more, nothing less.
