    Default Soviet SSh-39? Value?

My dad brought this helmet back from WWII. I think it's a SSh-39 in reasonably good condition. No real markings to speak of except for some writing on the liner. I've attached pictures. Any advice is appreciated. I'm considering selling it but not really sure if I should hold on to it. Is ebay the best way to sell it? I can take and post other pictures if there is something I missed.

    Thanks in advance,
    Sam

Thanks Richie. I've waited a long time with this helmet in my closet. I will definitely wait to see what your members have to say. -Sam

Hi Sam, welcome to the forum!

It is a very nice helmet and I am sure you could sell it with ease if you do decide to part with it.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Dom,
I've looked at the helmet a dozen times and never saw those numbers!

Now I'm really curious to see what insight they give you.

    Thanks!

Just to see if the policy number is correct.
The stamp is not visible but the overall condition is very good as Ade, I think you can get a good offer for this helmet.

Thanks Dom. Was the last picture I posted not the policy number? Maybe I'm looking at the wrong place on the helmet. Can you point me to an example?

I'm talking about the form of the digits is typical (the word police may not be correct in English sorry). No problem with your helmet
