Here are pictures of my last SSh39, this is the first one i bought on a military fair here in Sweden eight years ago. It has no star and a hardly visible inkstamp. the suspension of the liner is broken on one side and the shell has a crack in the top, but i just love it

I show my three in the next postings.

I have the Clawson book somewhere, and it would have assisted me with some text in these posts. But, it's nowhere to be found.

I have asked my wife concerning it's whereabouts (I could have sworn I left it in the downstairs bathroom), and Да,конечно!, she knows nothing...

I feel that she has something to do with it's absence, but all is peaceful at the moment in our cozy RussAmeri home, so I rely on my associates to comment (educate) me further...

The first is M39 with a changed liner and it shows light remains of an applied hammer/sickle/star.

The 8MM dent at the left size makes me wonder what caused it.

    Also, it is completely UNMARKED...

Second: From a supposed GI estate...

The small red star is unique IMO...

    Four more images to come.

Ultimately, the BLACK lid... Painted BLACK inside and out BEFORE the liner was installed...

There are no common-type ink markings...

There exists remnants of some kind of red painted whatsit on the front...

Hi Richie, your is one from the 5 pieces picked up by me more than 15 years ago, other was in better condition and unfortunately I don't keep one for me. I think one day after, someone will join us, who have one with red star at the front and which I can't save
