    Hello,
I have a friend who bought this helmet with a uniform!
Do you know what year the military police began to paint the white helmets ?
Do you think this helmet to paint (MP) is of time, there is a hole on the top of the hull and some pencil marks around the red tape.
    Thank you for your help

The MP helmet looks original to me, but that kind of paint is firstly developed in the end of 1950's. Any way very interesting helmet

    Hello,
a friend told me that the helmets are painted white with the 1969 reform.
Before they are green with red stripe.
    (see documents below)
The photo was taken in Prague in 1968.
    Does anyone has information??
    Thank you

To be sure, the white Traffic Controller helmets was issued by order of MO SSSR by Nr 200 from a 1969 year, there must be a star in size 70 mm, and the stripe in the size of 55 mm

    Tovarischi;

The vet I used to work with, who was in the GPW, had told me that some of the rear echelon traffic controllers had white helmets with three red stripes. I made up a helmet to match his description.

Below are some pics of my rendition of his description. Unfortunately, he passed away before I could ask him if it was correct.

This is a picture I found online of what is supposed to be an original from 1944.

I believe that the original may have a replacement chinstrap.

    Hi Tovarishi,
the last helmet you show is for sale on the sponsor of the forum is a Ssh 40 dated 1953, this type of helmet did not exist during the war, Dimas could confirm.

I have no doubt that the one in the last two pictures is not an original GPW era kaksa, but it had been listed as such on the site I found the pictures on..

I just know that what Ivan described is what I painted mine to look like.
