Going back to the Star on helmet debate, does anyone have any period combat pictures of Red Army soldiers wearing star helmets?? Most we have seen are more ceremonial are they not?
An interesting coincidence is that one of the 48’s I have just bought has a star underneath the paint?

I did a lot of research and I've never seen, probably in 1946 no helmet is left the factory.

A new Ssh39 update to SsH 40, such as Lars. But this one have a stamp. Someone could recognyze this stamp ?

Some better pics of the stamp is needed. It's very hard to read or even get an impression i think.

Given the physical make up and style of liner installation, this helmet must be an LMZ in my opinion. The stamp is just very much obscured from some reason.
